Regulations in force as of July 1, 2022: The absence of retro-reflective stickers on motorcycle helmets results in the non-approval of the helmet. In other words, without these devices, you risk a fourth class fine, i.e. a fixed fine of 135 euros (reduced to €90, increased to €375) and a withdrawal of 3 points from your driving license.
Although the police rarely report the absence of reflective stickers, a change in road safety instructions can always occur. Not affixing these stickers means taking the risk of unnecessarily losing three points in the event of an inspection.
